UPGRADE HISTORY

[ CLOSE WINDOW ]

04 July 08 updates were:

  1. Login and outs were hampered by a code set for July 1st 2008 - we've reset this to 2009.
  2. We've modified the database once again, to hopefully speedup the server by removing unnecessary INDEX entries, which may have caused more work for the server than needed.

12 June 08 updates were:

  1. Gremlins still continue to visit various parts of the website - again, we tweaked numbers for the database and hope for the best.  Special thanks goes out to Roger Taber for his keen eye, and relentless belief in this website.
  2. Changed CLNG variable location - seems to work as well.  NO PROMISES!

09 June 08 updates were:

  1. Finally, we were able to find out why the website was continually crashing - basically, we were being overloaded with Crawl Requests from various Search Engines.  We've made some minor adjustments, and hope that this solves the situation <fingers crossed>.  Ultimately, we will have to upgrade the database to a new SQL server, but that involves time and money.

  2. Therefore, we have spent the last 9 hours, trying to find a way to inhibit these individuals, and believe we have succeeded to your benefit.
  3. Please understand these new changes may or may not work, and either way could affect your access with the website.  Please contact us if they do.

  2. Added code to allow new email system to better deal with the 10s of thousands of junk emails that have plagued the website.
  3. Added code to better direct Member's emails so that we can reply in a timely fashion in the near future.  Our apologies to those who have been caught in the void of the previous system, with no email response from GPO™.

We ask that everyone have patience as we work hard to improve the website.
